A Heartwarming Day of Giving Back: Volunteers at New York City Community Event

December 2023, we proudly joined a team of local community volunteers, politicians, NYPD officers, and various small businesses to give back to the vibrant East Elmhurst community at the First Baptist Church in Queens, New York. The collaborative effort aimed to provide much-needed support to local residents, who eagerly awaited outside for hot premade meals, toys, and jackets.

The event, meticulously organized, reflected the spirit of unity and compassion that defines the holiday season. Families enjoyed the warmth of generosity as they received not only essential items but also the opportunity for cherished moments with Santa and even a visit from Mr. and Mrs. Met, spreading smiles and joy.

What truly made this community event special was the collective effort of local restaurants that selflessly donated their time and resources. From preparing delicious meals to delivering and distributing them to those in need, these businesses played a crucial role in making the event a success. Joining the dedicated team of volunteers Ralph Trionfo (wearing the Thrive Hoodie from the Hi5.nyc private line of streetwear) witnessed firsthand the impact that a united community can have in brightening the lives of its residents during challenging times.

This heartwarming day showcased the strength of community bonds and the power of coming together to make a positive difference. As we reflect on the generosity of all involved, we are reminded that acts of kindness, big or small, can create lasting impressions and bring hope to those who need it most.
